When you book or contact us: name, e-mail address, phone number, postal address, stay dates, number of guests and children's ages (the tourist tax depends on them), any message, and, if you consent, your subscription to our communications. When you sign a rental contract electronically, we also keep your IP address, browser and a timestamp: this is the proof of your signature, and the law requires us to be able to produce it. No bank details are stored on this site: payments are handled by our provider (Stripe).

Managing bookings and the guest relationship (performance of the contract); replying to your messages (legitimate interest); sending offers and news only if you have consented (consent, withdrawable at any time).

Your data is intended for the owner and, where applicable, technical providers acting on their behalf: hosting in France, e-mail delivery, payment (Stripe), and — with your consent only — audience measurement (Google) and advertising measurement (Meta). The conversation assistant, where offered, relies on Mistral AI. It is never sold.

No tracker is set before you agree. The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline; until you answer, nothing is loaded. Your choice — accepting as well as declining — is kept for six months in a cookie named “audience_consent”, and you can reopen it at any time from the 🍪 button at the bottom of the page.

If you accept, two tools are loaded: Google Analytics 4, to count visits, and the Meta pixel, to measure how well our ads perform on Facebook and Instagram. If you decline, neither is loaded and no measurement cookie is set.

With your consent, and only then, a completed booking is reported to Meta so the sale can be attributed to the ad that brought you here. Your e-mail address and phone number never leave in plain form: they are turned into an irreversible fingerprint beforehand. As Meta is a US company, this transfer takes place outside the European Union, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

If this site offers a conversation assistant, your question is sent to Mistral AI, a French company, to produce the answer — and a copy of the exchange is e-mailed to the owner, so they can reply themselves if the assistant got it wrong. Do not write anything there you would not tell the owner, in particular any health information: for that, write to them directly.

Booking data is kept as long as needed for the contractual relationship and legal obligations (accounting, tax); marketing data until you unsubscribe.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data, as well as the right to data portability. To exercise them, write to contact@demo.chaletdirect.fr. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority).
